Getting Started

1. What is bills4u?
bills4u is an app which helps you to calendarize and pay bills, from the convenience of your mobile phone.
2. What all billers can I pay?
As of now, you would be able to make payments to Post Paid bills of Airtel Mobile, Idea Mobile, Reliance GSM and CDMA and other merchants. You would also be able to recharge your prepaid services like Airtel phone, Airtel DTH, Tata Sky, Tata Docomo, Vodafone, Reliance etc. Detailed list is available in our app. And hang on, we are in the process of adding more billers and banks. You will hear from us as we keep increasing our biller portfolio
3. Is this service for free or will I get charged?
You will pay a nominal charge for arranging and paying your bills. We don't believe in hidden charges.
4. How do I register with bills4u?
All it takes to register with bills4u is your email id. As of now we support Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo accounts.
5. Does bills4u store my email id, passwords etc?
Did you always have trouble sharing your passwords with third party apps and sites? Then RELAX, bills4u is just your kind of app. We will never store your passwords. You will have to share your email id, because that will help us in identifying you uniquely.
6. Can I use bills4u across devices like Mobile and Tablets?
Yes, you can. This application is pervasive across devices like mobile and tablets. The look and feel would be same.

How does it work?

7. How do I PAY my billers?
bills4u has tied up with payment gateways, wherein you can choose to pay using your Debit / Credit card or Net Banking.
8. Will bills4u store my card details?
That's a valid question. We DO NOT store any of your payment credentials with us. We will be redirecting you to our payment gateway partners, who will request you to provide your card credentials. And relax, you would always have your second factor authentication to fall back upon even while making payments through our payment gateway partner.
9. When will my bills get paid?
After your payment gets approved and settled in our account, we would be sending the money to your biller. However, settling the amount to your account would depend upon your billers processing timelines.
10. In case of any issues, will my amount get refunded back to me?
Well, normally there would not be a scenario where your transaction might not go through. But, in case there is any untoward issue, which is beyond our control, we will ensure that your money is safe and will get refunded back to you. Refunds will take around 15 days from date of debit.
11. Will I get a Receipt for making bill payment?
For each bill payment done through our app, you will receive a Receipt with an unique reference number, as provided by your biller. This will be mailed to your email account for record purposes.
12. Can I add new Billers or Deregister billers from the app?
Sure. In case you want to add a new biller for making payments, you would be able to choose them from our list of billers. We will ensure that all bills from this biller would be sent to your app automatically. You would also have an option to deregister your biller from this programme, if need be. You control to whom you make payments to.
13. Can I cancel my payments done in bills4u?
Since payments to billers are happening online, it would not be possible for you to cancel payments once made.
14. How will I know that my bill has been paid?
Once a bill payment is successful, you will be shown a message and status of the bill would get changed appropriately. You will also receive a message from your biller for receipt of funds in their account. Settlement to your account might take 2-3 days, as per biller's internal processes.
15. Can I repay a bill by mistake?
Well, that is a fair question. Relax; our application will ensure that a bill that has already been paid once through our app, will not be available for making payments again.
16. Can I pay for mobile talk time topup, DTH recharge etc?
Of course Yes. You would not only be able to pay your bills, but also be able to recharge / topup your Mobile and DTH services too, free of charge. You can also save your frequently used numbers in our app. This way, you need not type in those mobile numbers each time you top them up!
17. How secure is bills4u?
bills4u uses the most stringent measures for making your bills payments safe and secure. We don't ask or store your passwords. Payment pages are encrypted with latest encryption technologies which encrypt all your data between our servers and billers.
18. What happens if I lost my phone?
As we are not storing your bank account credentials or biller account credentials, there is absolutely no breach of security even if you happen to lose your phone. So, relax, you won't lose on anything. All data is stored in our central servers and you can login to our application using another phone.
19. Can I submit a bug?
Sure, we would be glad to receive your feedback and brickbats. This helps in improving our product. You can send an email to connect@bills4u.com. All valid bugs would be addressed in our next product release.
20. How does the payment process work in bills4u?
At bills4u, you would be able to view the bill amount or enter the recharge amount and request for making payment. Once you confirm your request, we connect to our Payment Gateway partners. There you would be able to see a host of payment options, which could be

a. Credit Cards or

b. Debit Cards or

c. Net Banking

In case you want to pay using credit or debit card, then you will need to enter your Name on Card, Card Number, Expiry Date and CVV number. Then, you would be prompted to enter your Second Factor Authentication, which could be your OTP or Secret Password. This depends on the Card Provider. If your credentials are valid, then your card gets debited and we would route your transaction for processing within bills4u. In case your card payment request is rejected, for whatever reason, you have the option to re-enter the same or cancel the transaction.

In case you want to pay by Net Banking, then you will have to choose your preferred bank, upon which you would be redirected to Internet Banking login page of the bank. Here you will have to provide your Internet Banking login credentials and proceed to make payment. In case the login credentials provided is invalid, then you have the option to re-enter the same or cancel the transaction.

Privacy Policy

We are committed towards protecting your privacy. Only authorized employees within the Company on a need to know basis use any information collected from individual customers. We constantly review our systems and data to ensure the best possible data security to our customers. In case of any failures, we will investigate all actions with a view to prosecuting and/or taking civil proceedings to recover damages against those responsible.

We will not sell, share or rent your personal information to any third party or use your e-mail address for unsolicited mail. Any emails sent by this Company will only be in connection with the provision of agreed services and products.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track usage patterns, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. Additionally, for systems administration, detecting usage patterns and troubleshooting purposes, our web servers automatically log standard access information including browser type, access times/open mail, URL requested, and referral URL. This information is not shared with third parties and is used only within this Company on a need-to-know basis. Any individually identifiable information related to this data will never be used in any way different to that stated above without your explicit permission.

We accept Visa and Master Credit Card, Debit Cards and Net banking as mode of payments which are processed through our payment gateway partner. No information pertaining to payment is shared with us as you fill all the payment related information on your bank's site.


bills4u has tied up with a third party enabler for the recharge. bills4u is not responsible for any delay, pricing or cancellation of recharge from mobile / utility provider end. Though, best efforts are made to keep the service above acceptance levels.

User is solely responsible for the selection of mobile / utility provider and the recharge amount. bills4u is not responsible for talk-time given against recharge done through bills4u as this is purely at mobile operator's disposal.

Disclaimer & Exclusions and Limitations

The information on this web site is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, this Company:
1. excludes all representations and warranties relating to this website and its contents or which is or may be provided by any affiliates or any other third party, including in relation to any inaccuracies or omissions in this website and/or the Company's literature; and

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All transactions on the bills4u website, monetary and otherwise, are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-reversible, save and except in the event of proven gross negligence on the part of bills4u or its representatives, in which event the user agrees that the user shall only be entitled to a refund of the amount actually paid by the user and actually received by bills4u with respect to the payment done by the user.

This limitation applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis, even if bills4u has been advised of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, bills4u liability in such jurisdictions shall be limited to the extent of the amount actually paid for by any user while availing any of the services on the bills4u website.

Refunds, if any, would be processed within a time frame of 21 days from date of acceptance.

Modification of These Terms and Conditions of Use

The Company reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit and your continued use of the site will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these terms. User is required to check terms and conditions at every visit. No notification communication will be done subject to change in terms and conditions.

Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable to the other for any failure to perform any obligation under any Agreement which is due to an event beyond the control of such party including but not limited to any Act of god, terrorism, war, Political insurgence, insurrection, riot, civil unrest, act of civil or military authority, uprising, earthquake, flood or any other natural or manmade eventuality outside of our control, which causes the termination of an agreement or contract entered into, nor which could have been reasonably foreseen. All the terms and conditions between you and bills4u shall be governed by the law of India. By visiting bills4u, you agree to the laws. Any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and bills4u or its affiliates is subject to Chennai jurisdiction only.
